The 7th annual Jane Lloyd Fund Clam Bake returns to Satre Hill Saturday, July 28, from 2 to 8 PM. SWSA's winter wonderland will be transformed into a summer fun-filled family day. The traditional kiln will be built to cook the lobsters, clams, potatoes and corn. Hamburgers, hot dogs, clam chowder, beer and wine for purchase. Live music and dancing finish out the evening. All proceeds help families battling cancer with their day-to-day financial needs. Clam bake meal tickets are advance sale only. Mr. Janvey is an independent producer. Most recently, he produced TCHOUPITOULAS, by the Ross Brothers, which premiered at SXSW, and won the HBO Emerging Artists Award at Hot Docs. He is a founding member of the Louisiana based Court 13 Collective. He has participated in the Sundance Creative Producing Initiative as a Mark Silverman Fellow, and has won the Indian Paintbrush Producer’s Award. Dan also worked as a Field Organizer in the 2008 Obama Campaign in North Carolina.

Habitat for Humanity of Northwest CT has announced that its 21st annual Tag Sale will be held on the first weekend in August in the Mars Athletic Center at the Hotchkiss School in Lakeville. A preview and purchase night will be held on Friday, August 3, from 6 to 8 PM, with a $10 donation. The main sale will be held Saturday, August 4, from 9 AM to 3 PM, and the "bag sale" will be held Sunday, August 4, from noon to 3 PM. There is no admission charge on Saturday and Sunday. Proceeds from this sale will advance the group's mission of building and repairing homes in Northwest CT.
